RFK Jr. Is Wrong About Measles Vaccines

A third person has died of measles in Pennsylvania. As a physician associate, I'm breaking down why this 100% preventable crisis is back and why the measles vaccine works. Measles was declared eradicated in the United States in 2000, but measles outbreak cases are surging again. In this Healthcare Hell Monday update, I explain why measles is so dangerous. It's not just a rash. It can cause pneumonia, encephalitis, premature birth, and miscarriage. This disease wipes out your immune system memory and can cause subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) seven to 10 years later. SSPE is almost always fatal. The measles vaccine is safe and over 97% effective. Yet RFK Jr. and others in this administration are sowing doubt about vaccines while measles deaths rise.
