Ashley Bell

I'm Ashley Bell, and I'm running for Congress in North Carolina's 10th District. Here's the short version of why. I grew up in rural East Texas, taught public school, and then spent 15 years working as a Physician Associate. I've spent my career taking care of people. Now I want to help write the policy that's...

Tomorrow! I’ll be hanging out in front of Novant Forsyth Medical Center (probably across the street in the shopping center parking lot) because I want healthcare providers to tell me how they feel about having their retirement benefits cut while their CEO makes millions. Come find me, I’ll have a big sign. Around...

#trump2025 #Russia #Ukraine #GasPrices #Zelensky #NC10Trump just bought Russian oil to fix our gas crisis. He also spent the last two days bad-mouthing Zelensky. So what do you think happens when Russia gets a lot of money from us? Russia uses that money to bomb Ukraine. We're already funding a war Israel is...

Your free chips and salsa might be going away, and it's not your favorite restaurant's fault. A 17% tariff on tomatoes, plus bad weather in Mexico and Florida, has squeezed the tomato supply so hard that restaurants can't afford to keep the basket coming. Washington can make free salsa disappear without ever asking...

Data centers are being built across NC-10 while residents find out after the deals are signed. My opponent, Pat Harrigan, says it's not a problem. Tonight, there's a Yadkinville Board of Commissioners meeting at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall. I wanted to be there because I know a lot of residents are concerned about the...

Factories around Hickory have closed, and many people are out of work. I went to hear it from the people living it. I'm Ashley Bell, a physician associate and educator for 15 years, running for Congress in North Carolina's 10th District. Everywhere I go in NC-10, voters tell me the same thing: they don't feel...

I know what it's like to struggle. Somebody asked me this week what makes me different from my opponent. Here's the honest answer: I'm a normal person. I've never had just one job. I've worked two, three, sometimes four at a time my whole adult life, because that's what it takes to keep the lights on. This week, in...

Rent is up. Health insurance costs are up. Grocery prices are up across North Carolina. But your paycheck hasn't kept up. I'm Ashley Bell, a physician associate for 15 years, an educator, and a Democrat running for Congress in NC-10 (Yadkin, Lincoln, Catawba, Forsyth, and Iredell counties). I've sat with patients...

Pepper and Dash usually have their own ideas of how our walks are supposed to go! They set the pace, pick the route, and make it clear who's really in charge. This is what my afternoons look like when I'm not knocking on doors or answering emails. Every day, I run a campaign, and every day, Pepper and Dash run me. 💵...

If you made billions in your first 18 months at a new job, would anyone investigate you? If you earned $100,000 a month from insider trading, would anyone arrest you? I'm Ashley Bell, running for Congress in North Carolina's 10th District. As a physician associate and educator for 15 years, I've held people...

In Episode 2 of For Forsyth, we talk with a candidate, hear from a Forsyth County resident, and introduce a new recurring segment focused on helping us understand how government actually works. Dan Naber sits down with Ashley Bell, Democratic candidate for North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. Their...

What if we treated patients the same way hospital administrators treat us? CEOs got multimillion-dollar bonuses. We got pizza parties. I'm Ashley Bell, a clinician, educator, and candidate for Congress in NC-10, and I'm done with it. It's time for better health outcomes for our patients and less burnout for...

A third person has died of measles in Pennsylvania. As a physician associate, I'm breaking down why this 100% preventable crisis is back and why the measles vaccine works. Measles was declared eradicated in the United States in 2000, but measles outbreak cases are surging again. In this Healthcare Hell Monday...

My name is Ashley Bell, a physician associate, educator, and U.S. House candidate in North Carolina's 10th district. We were praised as healthcare heroes during COVID, then watched that respect disappear once the crisis stopped making headlines. During COVID, strangers cheered outside hospitals and thanked people...

No more pizza parties! I got tired of watching hospital CEOs collect multimillion-dollar bonuses while the clinicians actually doing the work got . . . pizza. As a physician associate and educator, I see the burnout and the broken system every day: unattainable quality measures, patients treated like customers, and...

Tired of hearing about the Mooresville mayor in his pants—or lack thereof? 😅 Same.
